Some years ago Sam Altman said that "the most important thing you can get to be a founder is to pick your parents well" and that's very sad. I think this is an enormous source of the destruction or undiscovery of talents on the planet and we obviously should something do with that.
Marc Andersen thinks that metaverse can suggest interesting places to be for someone who has a very boring and poor environment and surrounding. It's interesting technological point but we should take something more systematically.
I think these measures can improve situation:
1. Development new pedagogical styles of the parents (the ability to educate a child more freer and risky);
2. Popularization of a positive attitude towards strange and risky activities through media, blogging, special events and so on;
3. Teaching life philosophy + entrepreneurship at schools (what to do in life, how to decide on interests, etc.);
4. Growth of school events for the gifted persons like special schools, Olympiads in a variety of subjects, summer schools, etc.;
5. Additional education through virtual interest circles with the development of particular child's interests;
6. Creating more opportunities for the implementation of children's / teenager's projects (funds, grants, etc.).
Overall, it seems to be a big deal which can unleash a lot of talents in the world. By the way, I start thinking about some kind of "pre-aspiration" accelerator for young people which inspire them to do big and strange things right now. You can check out whitepaper of this new institution here.
